W1XM Radio Lab

radio-lab.mit.edu is a service run by the MIT UHF Repeater Association W1XM that provides web access to software-defined radio receivers on the Green Building roof.

Services:

• OpenWebRX - Generic SDR listening, currently connected to an RTL-SDR USB stick and a discone antenna
• ADS-B - AirSpy SDR listening to 1090 MHz ADS-B transmissions using a dedicated ADS-B antenna and LNA

  • See a heatmap of the past 24 hours
  • See a different heatmap of the past 24 hours
  • See the tracks of all planes for the past 24 hours
  • See the receiver performance graphs
  • This data is also fed to ADSB Exchange. Club officers can log into ADSB Exchange using the W1XM account to get the free premium ADS-B data made available as a result of this feeder.
